Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 September 2026

Tellyco respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share and protect personal
data when you visit our websites, create an account, contact us, apply for a business
account, place an order, request support, return a product or otherwise interact with us.

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • tellyco.nl and its language versions and subpages;
  • tellyco.eu and its language versions and subpages.

The different language versions of this Privacy Policy are intended to communicate
the same information. If you notice an inconsistency between translations, please
contact us so that we can correct it.

This Privacy Policy should be read together with our
Cookie Policy and, where relevant, our
Terms & Conditions.

1. Who is responsible for your personal data?

The controller responsible for the processing of personal data described in this
Privacy Policy is:

purpose.

Our legitimate interests may include:

requires prior consent.

Where permitted by law, we may also inform existing customers about our own similar
products or services using contact details obtained in connection with a previous
purchase.

You can object to or unsubscribe from marketing at any time.
Every marketing email should provide an easy way to unsubscribe. You can also contact
support@tellyco.nl.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop necessary service messages relating to an
order, payment, account, return, warranty claim or another transaction with us.

7. Cookies, analytics and advertising technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for purposes such as operating our webshop,
remembering preferences, measuring website use and, where you consent, advertising

Where a service provider processes personal data on our behalf, we require appropriate
data-protection arrangements as required by applicable law.

We do not disclose personal data to third parties for unrelated purposes merely because
it may be commercially useful to them.

9. Payment providers

Payment methods available on Tellyco may be provided by external payment service
providers.

The payment provider available to you will depend on the payment methods enabled in
the checkout.

Payment providers may process personal data as an independent controller for some of
their own purposes, for example payment security, fraud prevention, anti-money-laundering
requirements or regulatory compliance.

Their own privacy information applies to those activities.

10. International transfers

Some of our service providers or their group companies may process personal data outside
the European Economic Area (EEA).

Where personal data is transferred to a country outside the EEA, we use an appropriate
transfer mechanism where required, such as:

  • an adequacy decision adopted by the European Commission;
  • the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses;
  • another legally recognised safeguard or transfer mechanism.

Where appropriate, additional safeguards may also be used.

You can contact us if you would like more information about safeguards relevant to a
particular international transfer.

11. How long do we keep personal data?

collected, unless a longer retention period is required or justified by law.

12. Is providing personal data mandatory?

Some information is necessary to enter into or perform a contract with you.
For example, we generally need your name, delivery address and appropriate contact and
payment information to process an online order.

If information is required for an order, payment, business-account application or
another requested service and you do not provide it, we may be unable to provide that
service or enter into the relevant agreement.

Information requested for optional marketing, advertising personalisation or other
consent-based purposes is voluntary.

13. Your privacy rights

Subject to the conditions and exceptions in the GDPR, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • rectify inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
  • erase personal data in certain circumstances;
  • restrict processing in certain circumstances;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • object at any time to direct marketing;
  • data portability for certain data processed by automated means on the basis of consent or contract;
  • withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent;
  • receive information about relevant safeguards for certain international transfers;
  • lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority.

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before
consent was withdrawn.

To exercise your rights, contact:
support@tellyco.nl.

We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity before acting
on a privacy request. This helps prevent personal data from being disclosed or changed
at the request of an unauthorised person.

We will respond within the time limits required by applicable data-protection law.
GDPR requests are normally handled within one month, although this period can be
extended where the GDPR permits.

14. Right to complain

If you believe that we have not handled your personal data correctly, please contact
us first so that we can try to resolve the issue.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority:

Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens

If you live in another EEA country, you may also have the right to contact the
supervisory authority in your country of residence, your place of work or the place
where the alleged infringement occurred.

15. Automated decision-making and profiling

We may use automated signals to help detect fraud, protect accounts, measure advertising
or personalise content where permitted.

Tellyco does not intend to make decisions based solely on automated processing that
produce legal effects or similarly significantly affect you unless this is necessary,
permitted by law and the required GDPR safeguards and information are provided.

External payment or fraud-prevention providers may perform their own automated checks
under their own privacy policies and legal responsibilities.

16. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal
data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised
disclosure or access.

Measures may include access controls, authentication, encryption where appropriate,
secure connections, backups, system monitoring, updates and restrictions on access to
personal data.

No website, network or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
We therefore regularly review and improve our security measures where appropriate.

17. Personal data on returned devices

Customers are responsible for backing up and removing personal data from devices before
sending them to Tellyco for a return, warranty inspection, repair or other service.

Before returning a device, follow our return or warranty instructions and, where
applicable:

  • back up information you want to keep;
  • sign out of personal accounts;
  • disable activation locks such as Find My;
  • remove SIM cards and memory cards where applicable;
  • perform a factory reset.

If personal data remains on a returned device, we will handle the device in accordance
with our operational and security procedures, but customers should not rely on Tellyco
as a backup or data-storage service.

18. Third-party websites and services

Our websites may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties.
Their privacy practices are governed by their own privacy notices, not this Privacy
Policy.

We recommend reviewing the privacy information of a third-party service before
providing personal data to it.

19. Children

Tellyco is a general electronics webshop and is not specifically directed at children.

Where processing relies on consent and additional requirements apply because a user is
a child, we will apply the requirements of applicable data-protection law.

20. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, websites, suppliers, processing
activities or legal obligations change.

The most current version will be published on this page and the “Last updated” date
will be changed accordingly.

If a change materially affects how we process personal data, we will take additional
steps to inform you where required by law.
